The Faculty of Russian and Kazakh Philology was established in 2021 on the basis of the Faculty of “Foreign Languages” and is one of the most active and prominent faculties of the Institute. Since November 5, 2022 the Faculty of Foreign Languages will be called the Faculty of Russian and Kazakh Philology. Associate Professor of the Faculty of Russian and Kazakh Philology D.M. Shamsieva is experiencing difficulties.
The total capacity of the faculty building is 400 places, classes are held in 2 shifts. The number of study halls is 12. Classrooms and modern technical means of education are sufficient to organize the educational process at the faculty within the framework of modern requirements. Also the professors-teachers have created educational-methodical complexes on subjects. Besides, visual aids, didactic materials, video clips have been created. There are 4 video projectors, 4 electronic boards. There is literature on educational areas based on the exemplary curriculum and exemplary scientific programs.

1. D.M. Shamsieva, N.M. Ibragimova, M.G. Aripova, Z.M. Ruzieva, F.B. Mardonova, L. Berdimuratova, senior lecturer of the Department of Kazakh Language and Literature, defended their doctoral dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). In 2023, Associate Professor of the Department of Russian Language and Literature A.K. Rakhmanova defended her doctoral dissertation.
2. At present 36 professors and lecturers work at the faculty. Of them 1 professor and 9 associate professors have academic titles. For the last 3 years 2 textbooks, 17 educational and teaching aids, 8 monographs, as well as more than 87 foreign articles, more than 58 articles in domestic journals recognized by the OAC have been published at the departments of the faculty.
The faculty has a plan of spiritual-educational work, and on the basis of this, approved by the vice-rector for youth work, educators-coaches organized exemplary hours of “Information and Mentoring Work”. In addition, many events have been organized. For example, the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan, “October 1 – Teachers and Coaches Day”, Constitution Day, “January 14 – Defender of the Fatherland Day”, “March 8 – International Women’s Day”, Parents’ Meetings. with mothers, “Religious extremism and terrorism – a threat to the future of young people”, “Education without corruption”, in cooperation with medical staff “Leading for a healthy lifestyle”, “Life of a drug addict”, “Beware of flu”, “Fun and smart”, intellectual games “Zakiv”, sports festivals “Student theater” and others. Students and teachers of the faculty took an active part.
In order to ensure the implementation of “5 important initiatives to raise the morale of young people and meaningful organization of their free time” put forward by Honorable President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the faculty promotes reading, wide use of computer technologies, sports, various competitions. and events are held regularly, making extensive use of music and other forms of art. At present there are 1027 students studying at the faculty, 87 of them live in the student hostel, 356 – in rented accommodation, 543 – in their own house, 41 – in the house of relatives. There is also 1 foreign citizen studying at the faculty of Russian and Kazakh philology, 24-hour shifts are organized in the student hostel and study building according to the plan established by the rectorate of the institute. Students living in rented accommodation are constantly informed about their situation, rental addresses are prepared, albums are drawn up and submitted to the department “Spirituality and Enlightenment” of the institute. At the faculty of Russian and Kazakh philology social-spiritual environment and discipline among students are well established.
The law about “The State Emblem” was approved by the 10-th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan on July 2, 1992.
The law about “The State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted on November 18 in 1991 in the 8th session of the Supreme Council of Uzbekistan.
