An awarding ceremony was held for the winners of the Universiade-2024 handball competitions among students (girls) of higher educational institutions of the republic. Rector of Navoi State University Mukhiddin Kalonov, Head of the Department of Education, Science and Innovation Minister F. Tokhtaev, Head of Sports Department J. Murtazoev and other officials, students, professors and teachers took part in the awarding ceremony. Speaking at the event, the Rector of the University emphasized the importance of this competition in the education of physically and spiritually developed generation and conveyed best wishes to all participants.
According to the results of the competition, Urgench State Pedagogical Institute (Khorezm Province) took 1st place, Navoi State University (Navoi Province) took 2nd place, and Namangan State University (Namangan Province) took 3rd place. The organizers awarded each athlete who took the honorable first place with a TV set, and the teams that took 2nd and 3rd places received sports uniforms, diplomas and medals.
The law about “The State Emblem” was approved by the 10-th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan on July 2, 1992.
The law about “The State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted on November 18 in 1991 in the 8th session of the Supreme Council of Uzbekistan.
