On January 18 this year, the first meeting of the Supervisory Board of Navoi State University was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kungirotboy Sharipov. The meeting discussed in detail “Regulations on the Supervisory Board of Navoi State University”, “Regulations on the Supervisory Board”, “Work Plan of the Supervisory Board for 2025”, “Office of the Registrar” of Navoi State University, Regulations on the “Transformation Center” and a number of other legal and regulatory documents, as well as issues of remuneration of administrative, technical, service and teaching staff, professors and teachers of Navoi State University, hourly wages for the work of the Supervisory Board of Navoi State University.
As noted, the “Regulations on the Supervisory Board of Navoi State University” consists of general provisions, tasks and powers of the Supervisory Board, composition of the Supervisory Board, tasks assigned to it, organization of the Supervisory Board and final provisions, which clearly and in detail prescribe the powers in such areas as the order of use of the extra-budgetary fund for the development of the university, as well as determining the share of cost allocation, approval of long-term and medium-term program strategy.
It is worth noting that the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan № PQ-378 of October 31, 2024 “On measures to establish Navoi State University” and Decree № PQ-430 “On additional measures for socio-economic development of Navoi region” opened wide opportunities for the staff of Navoi State University. In turn, the University has “Registrar’s Office”, “Transformation Center”, “Tomdi Language Training Center”, “Psychological Counseling Center”, “Center of Five Initiatives”. Vocational education is carried out in academic lyceums, polytechnic and technical schools at the university, branches of the university departments are opened in production and enterprises, attention is paid to improving the quality and efficiency of dual education.
The Transformation Center constantly establishes strong ties with international rating agencies and scientific and technical bases, prepares projects in cooperation with professors, teachers, researchers and experts of foreign universities. The Center coordinates educational programs of higher education institutions taking into account the requirements of the modern labor market, audits educational programs of foreign universities. It prepares proposals on attraction of highly rated international accreditation organizations with international reputation to accreditation. Conducts analytical research on topics relevant for Navoi region together with experts of international organizations. Also assists in realization of a number of works of international scale relevant to its activity.
During the meeting of the Supervisory Board not only priority tasks in this sphere, but also a number of other topical issues were discussed, as well as proposals and recommendations for their realization were put forward. By the relevant decision of the Supervisory Board, the Rector of Navoi State University and the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work, Vice-Rector for Academic Work, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and Innovations, Vice-Rector for Infrastructure Development and Economic Issues were appointed.
The law about “The State Emblem” was approved by the 10-th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan on July 2, 1992.
The law about “The State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted on November 18 in 1991 in the 8th session of the Supreme Council of Uzbekistan.
