This department was established on April 15, 1992 on the basis of the “Mathematical analysis and informatics” department, in 1992-1997, Ph.D. O.O. Suvonov, in 1997-2001 Assoc. A. Hakimov, Assoc. M.J. Uluqnazarov in 2001-2006, in 2006-2012 Ph.D. E.A. Chuliyev, in 2012-2019, prof. S.A. Imamkulov was the leader. Since 2019, the department has been headed by PhD., Associate Professor. S.Kh. Abjalilov.
1) Mathematical modeling of natural processes;
2) Application of new pedagogical and information technologies in the educational process.
In the first direction, among the professors and teachers of the department, Assoc. S.Kh. Abjalilov, Assoc. A. Hakimov, Phd. D.R.Mansurov, Phd.G.S.Saifullayeva, senior teachers Yu.S.Shotemirov, M.Sh.Fayziyev, S.S.Jumayev, N.M.Ibodullayeva, Sh.A.Majidov, teachers I.A. Akhmadov, J.A.Sobirov, A.V. are taking. In the second direction, Associate Professor D.N. Ashurova, Associate Professor A.A. Jalilov, Phd.S.Kh. Kholikov, teachers Sh.Sh. Shodiyev, A.B. Oltiyev, D.Sh. Gafarova are conducting scientific research work.
A total of 28 professors-teachers work in the “Mathematics” department. 7 professors-teachers of the department are professors-teachers with scientific degrees: Assoc. S.Kh. Abjalilov, Assoc. A. Hakimov, Assoc. A.A. Jalilov, Assoc. D.N. Ashurova, Phd. S. Kh. Khalikov, Phd. D.R. Mansurov, Phd. G.S. Sayfullayevalar. The scientific potential of the department is 25 %.
In 2022, the scientific potential of the department increased again, son of Khalikov Suyun Khamro 13.00.02 – “Theory and Methodology of Education and Training” (Mathematics) “Differential in the process of training future mathematics teachers” defended the dissertation written for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in pedagogic sciences on the topic “Methodology for improving the teaching of the equations module”. In 2023 Syfullayeva Gulnoza Sayfullayevna 01.01.05 – “Probability theory and mathematical statistics.” The dissertation work written for obtaining the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in physical and mathematical sciences on the topic “Generalizations of Kats empirical processes and their asymptotic properties” and Mansurov Dilshod Ravilovich 05.01.07-“Mathematical modeling. He defended the thesis work written for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in physical and mathematical sciences on the topic “Analysis of evaluations using statistical modeling methods in incompletely observable schemes” with the specialization “Set of Numerical Methods and Programs”.
N.M. Ibodullayeva won the Presidential scholarship in 2014 and the “Zulfiya” prize in 2021. In the science Olympiad held at the national level, the talented student Rozigluva Shakhnoza Ahmed’s daughter took the 3rd place, in 2022 she became the recipient of the State Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2023, Sayfullayeva Gulnoza Sayfullayevna became a laureate of Akademik T.A. Sarimsakov scholarship, Khojamova Dilnoza Sanakul girl became laureate of state scholarship named “Navoi”.
1 professor-teacher A.V.Axmatov received a national certificate in foreign language (B2), 3 professors-teachers D.Sh.Gafforova, G.Sh.Ashurova, I.P.Sadullayeva received a national certificate (B1) in foreign language.
Professors and teachers of the department have published 2 study guides, about 2 monographs, more than 100 scientific articles in national journals recognized by republic, more than 200 scientific articles in foreign journals, and obtained copyright certificates for 70 software products.

The law about “The State Emblem” was approved by the 10-th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan on July 2, 1992.
The law about “The State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted on November 18 in 1991 in the 8th session of the Supreme Council of Uzbekistan.
