  The Center for Digital Educational Technologies (CDET) has departments of digital educational technologies implementation, network management, technical support and information security.

The main task of the center is to conduct management and control work on the application and use of information and communication technologies in the educational and management process of the university.

The center organizes the introduction and use of information and communication technologies in the processes of educational, scientific, administrative and economic services of the institute. The University is engaged in the development of information and communication infrastructure. Organizes works on introduction, implementation, use, design and development of modern means of information and communication technologies for the institute. The university maintains a unified information security policy. Controls the security and constant working condition of the network and network devices of the university.

Activities of the Center Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-3080 of May 30, 2002 “On the further development of computerization and the implementation of information and communication technologies”, Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of June 6, 2002 “On computerization”. Resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of June 2, 2005 No. 200 “On measures for the further development of communications and the implementation of information and communication technologies”, “On measures to improve the training system in the field of information and communication technologies”. “Resolution No. PC-91 of July 8, 2005 No. PC-117” On additional measures for the further development of information and communication technologies “, July 28, 2005 Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PC-191” On the establishment of a public educational information network of the Republic of Uzbekistan “date of September 1, 2008” On improving the regulatory framework in the field of informatization “Resolution No. 256 of November 22, 2005, as well as orders of the Ministry and decisions of the Board. On August 24, 2021, the change of the name of the Center for Digital Educational Technologies was confirmed based on the order of the AFO No. 360 of the rector of the Navoi State Pedagogical Institute. It was registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan on May 12, 2021 No. 2859-3. According to the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 31, 2024 PQ-378, Navoi State University (hereinafter referred to as the University) was established on the basis of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the Navoi State Pedagogical Institute of the Khokimiyat of Navoi Region. The proposal was approved.

The Center is connected to the internal network built by the Institute and has the ability to view information in the existing database. The Center also provides ongoing methodological assistance to professors and teachers in the use of modern information and communication technologies in the educational process. The Center cooperates with professors and teachers in the creation, translation and conversion of electronic versions of textbooks from one graphics to another.

 

The Center provides the following types of activities:

  • Development and coordination of computerization and effective use of information and communication technologies at the University;
  • Organization, expansion and improvement of local and corporate computer networks at the University, the formation of electronic document management systems;
  • Development and implementation of computer programs in all departments and deans’ offices of the University, ensuring the transition to modern methods of office work, management and control;
  • Formation of centralized electronic databases of the University, ensuring their security and stable operation;
  • Organization of information services, participation in the formation and implementation of the information policy established by the Rector of the University;
  • Make proposals to the Rector of the Institute for decision-making on the development of information and communication technologies at the University;
  • Improve the official website of the University and ensure its continuous active work;
  • Serve to strengthen and expand the internal and external relations of the University system;
  • Development and coordination of computerization and effective use of information and communication technologies at the University;

The main goals and objectives of the Center are:

  • informatization of the educational process, development of information marketing services in the field of education, introduction of new information technologies and research results into the educational process;
  • Support of the unified information educational space of the Republic of Uzbekistan, free exchange of knowledge, ideas, scientific and practical results of intellectual activity, which are the main factors of economic and spiritual recovery;
  • organization of services for students, masters, researchers, postgraduates and doctoral students, teachers and staff on training in computer and information technologies, use of the Internet;
  • organization of advanced training of teachers, research staff and teaching staff of educational institutions;
  • organization of technical, information and methodological assistance to educational institutions;
  • introduction of the culture of work and communication in the global information and computer space;
  • creation of new courses, electronic copies of methodological materials;
  • Implement and develop a distance learning system based on the capabilities of the center.
