Navruz is a quiet, pure, and joyful holiday. It is a favorite festival for all nations and people living in this country, regardless of nationality or religion. It is a precious gift for both the young and the old! This holiday is not just a simple celebration but a festival that embodies the history, philosophy, conceptual imaginations, and values of our nation, uniting and advancing our nation. This holiday, which has been passing down through the ages, glorifies our land, our homeland. At the Faculty of “Physics-Technology” of Navoi State Pedagogical Institute (NavDPI), a contest called “Kites and Puppets” was organized as part of the holiday celebrations. Through various stage performances, students showed the arrival of Navruz, the connection of its history with our ancient traditions, customs, and ceremonies that have been passed down to our present day, demonstrating the continuity of our national holiday traditions, customs, and rituals.
Later on, a celebration event was held in collaboration with the Department of “Social Sciences”. Although many rulers, religions, and beliefs have changed throughout the history of our country, our people still celebrate Navruz as evidence that our folkloric expressions – folk songs, children’s games, legends, and stories, ceremonies have preserved our ancient heritage. “Navruz is the beginning of a shining new year for our nation, the most ancient, original national holiday. Navruz is not confined to any specific religion or belief; it is a holiday of renewal, awakening among the Eastern peoples, the start of the farmer’s season, seen as the beginning of a new life cycle. Navruz may have had a religious aspect in the past, but now it has evolved beyond such meanings, symbolizing, from a national, religious, ethnic, and social standpoint, the transition to the most humane festival for all humanity…” Sh.Turobova, a senior teacher at the Department of Social Sciences.
The law about “The State Emblem” was approved by the 10-th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan on July 2, 1992.
The law about “The State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted on November 18 in 1991 in the 8th session of the Supreme Council of Uzbekistan.
