Raboti Malik Caravanserai (Shah Raboti) is located on the Karmana-Bukhara road, along the ancient caravan route, which has been restored today. It was built in the 70s of the XI century by Shamsulmulk Nasr ibn Ibrahim, a representative of the Karakhanids, and in the first quarter of the XII century it was repaired by Arslan Khan Muhammad ibn Suleiman, a representative of the same Karakhanids. Archaeological research revealed the complex structure of this unique building. It occupies an area of 100×100 meters, surrounded by powerful walls and divided into two parts.
The circular wall of the cistern’s water source was built of burnt bricks to a depth of 12 meters from the ground, and it stored ice-cold water all summer long. Raboti, a 16th century author, compares the water of Malik’s cistern to the delightful water of Zamzam in Mecca. The trip to these historical monuments was organized with the participation of students from the Faculty of Physics and Engineering at NavSU. “All historical monuments and monuments are national treasures of our people. The great master Amir Temur did not say for nothing: “If you want to know who we are, look at the buildings we have built.” It is the duty of every believing person. and conscientious person in preserving buildings, constructions and landmarks. Today’s trip made a great impression on our youth.Every young generation should see with their own eyes such historical monuments built by our ancestors and contribute to preserving them for the next generation.
