In the framework of the First Uzbek-Malaysian Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions, the rectors of Navoi State University and UCSI University of Malaysia exchanged views on opportunities for bilateral cooperation. After that, a memorandum of cooperation was signed.
According to it, professors and lecturers of both universities will conduct online and offline classes under the “Guest Lecturer” program during the year. UCSI University has Tesol certification courses and the issues of attracting and creating opportunities for Navoi State University professors in this direction were discussed. It was also agreed to realize industrial and agricultural projects in the future.
UCSI University is a private university founded in 1986. The number of students is more than 12 thousand people. This university is included in the list of the best universities “Top 300”.
Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kungirotboy Sharipov and Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia Zambri Abdul Kadir attended the signing of the memorandum and discussed issues of cooperation with both rectors.
