Academician Bakriddin Zaripov visited the university

 Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan Bakriddin Zaripov visited Navoi State University on November 13. Rector of the university, Professor Mukhiddin Kalonov, was introduced to the activities of the Information Resource Center. Books published by Bakriddin Zaripov were handed over to the library fund.

Today the general fund of the Information Resource Center consists of more than 127 thousand printed publications, including 43.2 thousand textbooks, more than 49.300 fiction books. In addition, there is a fund of audio and electronic literature. Scientist Bakriddin Zaripov was born in 1948 in Koshrabot district. In 1965 he entered the Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute, which he graduated with honors in 1970. Initially, the scientist began his career at the Institute of Physiology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. In 1975, he defended his candidate’s thesis, and in 1985 – his doctoral thesis. In 1975-1985, he interned at the Pavlov Institute of Physiology in St. Petersburg and defended his doctoral thesis.

In 1990, he was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Uzbekistan. In 1985 he was an academician of the World Physiological Society (Stockholm, Sweden), in 2003 he was an honorary professor at the University of Rome (Italy), and in 2004 he was awarded the Pavlov Gold Medal of the International Institute of Physiology. Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2011, he was awarded the title of honorary professor at the South Russian University. In 2014, he was awarded the title of Academician of the New York Academy of Sciences (USA).
During his scientific and pedagogical career, the talented scientist worked as a researcher at the Institute of Physiology of the Academy of Sciences, head of department at the National University of Uzbekistan and Tashkent State Agrarian University, dean, vice-rector for academic work. affairs, deputy state advisor of the organizational and personnel service of the Presidential Apparatus, first deputy minister of higher and secondary special education. He has more than 400 monographs, articles, brochures, teaching aids and inventions devoted to theoretical and practical issues of biology and agriculture.
