Today, March 11, the Navoi State Pedagogical Institute was visited by a delegation led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan Manish Prabha.
First, the rector of the institute Bahodir Sobirov held talks with members of the delegation led by the Ambassador of India Manish Prabha: Mr. Arif Sayyid and Director of the Indian Cultural Center named after Lal Bahadir Shastri in Tashkent Chander Shekhar to exchange experiences in higher education. “The Indian Learning Center, which will be opened during your visit today, will play an important role in teaching English and Indian languages to our youth, getting acquainted with Indian history and culture,” said the rector of the institute Bahodir Sobirov. – Academicly, it will be an important center of cooperation in the organization of open and thematic lectures of Uzbek and Indian scientists, in the framework of innovative cooperation, the organization of scientific seminars and conferences and joint research.
Following the talks, the opening ceremony of the Indian Science Center was held. NavDPI students performed national dances of Uzbekistan and India. The embassy also presented the research center with a smart TV, more than 50 philosophical, historical and cultural books, and 15 paintings depicting Indian architecture.
