The Faculty of Natural Sciences was established on the basis of the decision №12 of July 28, 2001 of the Academic Council of Navoi State University (Institute). In 2015 the name of the Faculty of Natural Sciences was changed to the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
There are 106 professors and teachers working at the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
The total number of students is 2301, of which 387 are studying on the basis of state grant, 1914 on the basis of contract, 241 on evening form, 655 students on correspondence form. Training sessions are conducted in Uzbek, Russian and Kazakh languages.
Scientific potential of the departments of the faculty:
– There are 23 professors-teachers in the main staff of the Department of Chemistry. Of them 1 professor, 6 associate professors, 3 candidates of sciences, 4 senior lecturers and 9 teachers. The scientific potential is 43.5%.
– There are 39 professors working at the Department of Biology. 13 of them are B.F.N. associate professors, 7 candidates of sciences, 4 senior lecturers and 15 teachers. The scientific potential is 51,3%.
– 36 professors work at the Department of Geography and Economic Knowledge. Of them 4 doctors of sciences, 11 – candidates of sciences and doctors of sciences, 1 – associate professor without a degree, 7 – senior lecturers, 13 – teachers. The scientific potential is 53,5%. The faculty has a plan for spiritual-educational work approved by the institute’s vice-rector for youth work, on the basis of which teacher-trainers organize an “Information” session every Tuesday and Friday of the week and keep group journals. recorded In addition, many events have been organized.
