Students pay tribute to the genius of Hazrat Navoi

  As it is known, during the visit of our Honorable President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Navoi region, a proposal was made to declare 2025 in Navoi region “The Year of Alisher Navoi”. To realize this noble goal, a program of various spiritual-educational and scientific-practical events has been developed at Navoi State University. Thus, today in Navoi Regional Spiritual-Educational Center students of Karakalpak Language and Literature Department of Uzbek Language and Literature Faculty of the University held a literary and artistic event entitled “Bright Traces of Navoi”.

The event started with the opening speech of T. Choriev, Vice-Rector for Academic Work of Navoi State University. In his speech, the Vice-Rector presented extensive information about the rich spiritual heritage of the great genius Navoi and the close connection of Navoi’s work with Karakalpak literature. At the evening, held on the eve of the 584th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker, sultan of the ghazal Alisher Navoi, A. Navoi’s great contribution to the development of Karakalpak language and literature, the poet’s unique works, which are the fruit of his inimitable talent, were highlighted by stage performances, attractive dances, makom songs and poetic dedications performed by students. During the event, faculty members and students were interviewed by the media.
