BOOK IS OUR FRIEND

  A book is man’s closest friend and counselor, a source of knowledge and a fountain of learning. Since a book is an instrument of thinking, a key to treasures, a source of thought, our people considered it as dear, honorable and sacred as bread. That is why love for books, appreciation for them, passion for reading are inherent in the blood of our people. A man’s culture is reflected in his book.
“STAR NIGHTS” written by Uzbek writer Pirimkul Kadyrov in student dormitory No. 3 with the purpose of meaningful organization of free time of students studying at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of Navoi State University, as well as popularization of reading among them. Based on this, a competition between groups was organized. The teams “Renaissance”, “Tarakkiyet”, “Yosh Kitabkhan” and “Bilimdonlar” took active part in it. At the end of the event, the most active winning teams were awarded with memorable gifts.
