On May 23-26, the national final stage of “Student League” sports competitions was held. Basketball matches between boys and girls were held in Sugdiena sports complex under the auspices of Navoi State Mining and Technological University, and chess matches were held in Navoi State Pedagogical Institute.
In order to popularize sports among youth, the task of organizing competitions in volleyball, mini-football, table tennis, basketball and chess sports was set by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures for the comprehensive development of national and professional soccer” – defined in the decision of April 7.
The law about “The State Emblem” was approved by the 10-th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan on July 2, 1992.
The law about “The State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted on November 18 in 1991 in the 8th session of the Supreme Council of Uzbekistan.
