In celebration of the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of the contingent of participants who took part in combat activities in Afghanistan from Navoi State Pedagogical Institute, the “Unity Cup-2024” football tournament was held in the Navoi region, organized by the Uzbekistan “Veterans” Warriors and Veterans Union.
During the match held between “Navoi” and “Bukhara” teams, representatives of our region secured victory with a score of 6:1, advancing to the finals. The veteran football players who participated in the tournament were honored with bravery awards. The purpose of organizing the tournament was to encourage warriors and veterans to engage regularly in physical education and sports activities, to increase public interest in sports, and to promote a healthy lifestyle among them.
The head of the Committee for Work with War Veterans in the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, N. Shuba, was honored with a Letter of Appreciation by the Rector of Navoi State Pedagogical Institute, Professor Bahodir Boypolatovich Sobirov, for his active participation in humanitarian and social programs aimed at improving the quality of life for veterans and warriors. Additionally, he was awarded the 30th anniversary badge of the Uzbekistan “Veterans” Warriors and Veterans Union.
Dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture at Navoi State Pedagogical Institute, Nurullayev Abdukholiq Qahhorovich, expressed his gratitude to the Chairman of the Committee, N. Shuba, with a letter of appreciation, and also presented him with the 30th anniversary badge of the Uzbekistan “Veterans” Warriors and Veterans Union for his active participation in humanitarian and social programs aimed at improving the quality of life for warriors and veterans.
