The meeting with para-athletes Jamal Akobirov and Shahboz Radjabov was organized with young people studying at the Faculty of Physical Education of Navoi State Pedagogical Institute.
It is worth noting that five athletes from Navoi region in such sports as athletics, swimming and judo were represented in the national team of Uzbekistan at the Para Asian Games.
Among the medalists of the Games was Aloviddin Jurakulov, a para-judoka who became a finalist of the Asian Games and a silver medalist in the J2 category in the weight class over 90 kg. Elbek Sultonov brought another silver medal to our country’s delegation. The para-athlete, who participated in the shot put program, won a silver medal.
Participants of the Para-Asian Games in Hangzhou told students about their sports careers, including how they went to victories and achievements. For example, Jamal Akobirov is a two-time champion of Uzbekistan, winner of the Grand Prix Para Athletics tournament held in Tunisia.
The event was also attended by the management, teachers and tutors of the faculty of Navoi University.
The law about “The State Emblem” was approved by the 10-th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan on July 2, 1992.
The law about “The State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted on November 18 in 1991 in the 8th session of the Supreme Council of Uzbekistan.
