“The Department of National Ideology, Spirituality and Legal Education was separated from the Department of Social Sciences in 1991 and renamed History and Law. The department was renamed “Jurisprudence” in 1999, “Jurisprudence, Theory and Practice of Building a Democratic Society in Uzbekistan” in 2002, “The Idea of National Independence, Fundamentals of Law and Spirituality” in 2004. From 1991 to 2004 the department was headed by Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor A. Fozilov, from 2004 to 2010 Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor S. Inoyatov. In March 2010, the department was divided into “Fundamentals of National Ideology and Spirituality” and “Fundamentals of State and Law.” The department of “Fundamentals of National Ideology and Spirituality” was headed by Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor S. Inoyatov, and the Department of “Fundamentals of State and Law” was headed by H. Isanov, Candidate of Legal Sciences. The department was reunited in February 2011 and from then until December 2011 it was headed by Candidate of Law H. Isanov. From December 2011 to February 2012 the senior teacher of the department was U.Utamurodov, from March 2013. Until December 2015, it was headed by Candidate of Philosophical Sciences U.Imamov. From December 2015 to April 2020, Ph.D. Z. Haitov was the director. From April 2022, t.f.f.d (PhD) H.Abuyev is the director.

Subject of scientific research – “The role of mystical scholars in the socio-political and spiritual life of the XIV-XIX centuries (on the example of Navoi region)” (07.00.01 – History of Uzbekistan), scientific adviser – Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor A.Doniyorov.

Senior lecturer R. Karimova conducts research on “Philosophy of Independence is the ideological basis of raising the national development of the country to a higher level” on the specialty 09.00.04 – “Social Philosophy”. The scientific adviser is professor N.Muhammadiyev.

Teacher F.Khudjakulova. He is conducting research on the specialty 09.00.04 – “Social Philosophy” on “Formation of the national ideological consciousness of students in the development of Uzbekistan.” The scientific adviser is professor N.Muhammadiyev.
