Center for Digital Learning Technologies

 The Digital Education Technologies Center (Center for Digital Learning Technologies) operates the Departments of Introduction of Digital Education Technologies, Network Management, Technical Support, and Information Security.

The main task of the center is to carry out management and control work on the application and use of information and communication technologies in the educational and administrative management process of the institute.

The center organizes the introduction and use of information and communication technologies in the educational, scientific, administrative and economic service processes of the institute. The institute works on the development of information and communication infrastructure. It organizes works on the introduction, implementation, use, design and development of modern information and communication technology tools for the institute. The institute maintains a uniform information security policy. Monitors the safety and constant working condition of the network and network devices of the institute.

Activity of the Center Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-3080 of May 30, 2002 “On further development of computerization and introduction of information and communication technologies”, Cabinet of Ministers of June 6, 2002 “On computerization Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 2, 2005 No. 200 “On measures for further development of communication and introduction of information and communication technologies” Resolution No. PK-91 of July 8, 2005 “On Additional Measures for the Further Development of Information and Communication Technologies” No. PK-117 of July 8, 2005 Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PK-191 “On the establishment of the public educational information network of the Republic of Uzbekistan” of September 1, 2008 “On improving the regulatory framework in the field of informatization” Resolution No. 256 of November 22, 2005 and the orders of the Ministry and the decisions of the Board.

The center is connected to the internal network built by the institute and has access to information from existing databases. The center also provides ongoing methodological assistance to professors and teachers in the application of modern information and communication technologies in the educational process. The center cooperates with professors and teachers in the creation, translation and transfer of electronic versions of textbooks from one graphic to another.

The center provides the following activities:

• development and coordination of computerization and effective use of information and communication technologies at the institute;
• organization, expansion and improvement of local and corporate computer networks at the institute, the formation of electronic document management systems;
• Development and implementation of computer programs in all departments and dean’s offices of the institute, providing the transition to modern methods of office work, management and control;
• formation of centralized electronic databases of the institute, ensuring their security and stable operation;
• organization of information services, participation in the formation and implementation of information policy set by the rector of the institute;
• make proposals to the rector of the institute for decision-making on the development of information and communication technologies at the institute;
• improve the official website of the institute and ensure its continuous active operation;
• serve to strengthen and expand the internal and external relations of the institute system;
• development and coordination of computerization and effective use of information and communication technologies at the institute;

The main goals and objectives of the Center are:

• informatization of the educational process, development of information marketing services in the field of education, introduction of new information technologies and research results into the educational process;
• Support of the single information educational space of the Republic of Uzbekistan, free exchange of knowledge, ideas, scientific and practical results on intellectual activity, which are the main factors of economic and spiritual recovery;
• organization of services for students, masters, researchers, postgraduate and doctoral students, faculty and staff to teach computer and information technology, Internet use;
• organization of professional development of teachers, scientific and technical staff of educational institutions;
• organization of technical, informational and methodological assistance to educational institutions;
• introduction of a culture of work and communication in the global information and computer space;
• creation of new courses, electronic copies of methodical materials;
• Introduce and develop a distance learning system based on the capabilities of the center.
