Rector's Reception

Navoi State Pedagogical Institute hosted a roundtable discussion on “Improving Women’s Legal Knowledge”

In our country, special attention is paid to ensuring the legitimate interests of women, supporting their entrepreneurial, scientific and social initiatives. In particular, Uzbekistan was one of the first Central Asian states to accede to the Conventions on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, the Protection of Women’s Political Rights and Motherhood, and other international instruments on women’s rights. While our Constitution clearly defines the political rights of women, the Family Code enshrines their family rights, the Civil Code enshrines the right of everyone to inherit and other rights, and the Labor Code enshrines social benefits for women’s labor.

On June 14, Navoi State Pedagogical Institute hosted a roundtable discussion on “Improving Women’s Legal Knowledge.” The purpose is to convey the essence of the laws adopted in Uzbekistan on the full support of women, the latest developments in their lives, the opportunities and benefits provided.

The event was organized at the initiative of the Navoi regional branch of the national movement “Yuksalish” in collaboration with the regional administration, the Department of Justice, Family and Women’s Support and the Navoi State Pedagogical Institute.

At the end of the event, active and enterprising women were awarded certificates. Among them are professors and students of the Navoi State Pedagogical Institute.
