Rector's Reception

Human being is a precious, a memory is sacred

Every year, May 9 is widely celebrated in our country as the Day of Remembrance and Honor. It has become a tradition for every participant of the Second World War to pay tribute to veterans of labor behind the front lines, to further strengthen the atmosphere of kindness, solidarity, humanity, tolerance and generosity in our country, to remember the past and honor the living.

On the occasion of the holiday, the leadership of the Navoi State Pedagogical Institute, the dean and tutors and students of the Faculty of Preschool and Primary Education, first laid flowers at the foot of the statue of the grieving mother in Karmana district and paid tribute to her.

Then, they visited the house of Pirnazar Bobo Turdiev, a 102-year-old World War II veteran living in Karmana district.

The conversation with Bobo was about the bitter and painful years of the war and today’s healing and happy moments. The team of the institute also sincerely congratulated Pirnazar Bobo Turdiev on the upcoming holiday. They wished him long life, good health and presented him with souvenirs.
