Gender Equality

Ensuring gender equality at institute is crucial for creating a fair and inclusive academic environment. Here are several effective strategies that are available at Navoi State Pedagogical Institute to promote gender equality

CIRCULAR CONVERSATION WITH THE STUDENTS OF THE NAVOI STATE PEDAGOGICAL INSTITUTE ON «GENDER EQUALITY ISSUES AND PROTECTING WOMEN AND GIRLS FROM HARASSMENT AND VIOLENCE IN UZBEKISTAN» (within the 16-day campaign)

On November 21 of this year, the faculty of Uzbek language and literature organized a roundtable discussion with female students. The roundtable discussion was opened by N. Hello.  On 25.10.2023, an interview with female students with problems was organized.  In the interview, misunderstandings between the student and the teacher were studied. Based on the problem, the rules of etiquette were repeatedly explained to the student, the problems in education and upbringing were listened to, and it was said that it is necessary to find a place in education and gain knowledge in connection with modern technology and a broad worldview. On October 16 of this year, preventive inspectors of the Navoi State Pedagogical Institute Khayitov N. M., Khusanova S. The national contest «Gender Equality Activist» was held in the city of Navoi! The competition was held on the basis of 7 main and 3 additional nominations.

  • The purpose of conducting the competition is to formulate a policy aimed at ensuring gender equality in each organization;
  • introduction of gender approaches to the activities of organizations;
  • attracting public attention to issues of achieving gender equality, inculcating gender equality in the activities of various structures;
  • identify, generalize and promote the advanced experience of organizations in the field of ensuring gender equality;
  • is to ensure equal rights and legal interests of women and men.
  • A total of 6 women participated in the competition, 5 of them won tickets to participate in the regional stage.The winners were awarded diplomas and souvenirs by the city Department of Family and Women.

  • During the conversation, it was proposed to consider the practical aspects of relations, in particular, the possibility of joint implementation of the «Women in Politics» program through special seminars and projects.Senate Chairman Mona Ghanem invited Al Marri to participate in the Asian Women’s Forum.

Roundtable discussion on gender equality, prevention of harassment and violence among female students
